Description
The goal of this project is to explore the experience of statistics for all learners. We explore the impact of designing and teaching statistical inquiry lessons on the knowledge development and experiences of pre-service teachers and children in classrooms. We also explore the attitudes of pre-service teachers towards statistics and explore the factors that influence those attitudes.
Much of this work is tightly linked to our Lesson Study and problem posing practice. This research has informed our practice within undergraduate and postgraduate initial teacher education modules.
